High Contrast mode in Windows 7

Post by kaabapie » Mon Aug 26, 2024 10:43 am

I use High Contrast mode on Windows 7. My browser's frame is similarly high-contrast. However, it has recently begun to alter the colors of the websites themselves, so I am now viewing webpages in hues other than those intended for display.

When I turn off the High Contrast option, they return to normal, but I can't get it to effect only windows and not the websites I visit again.

Do you know if this may be caused by a new update or something? Because I didn't touch anything that I am aware of.

Its not something that is within the scope of ASTER, its most likely some settings in windows or behavior of the browsers.

It’s possible that a recent update or a browser setting has started applying the high contrast mode to websites. You can try checking your browser’s accessibility or display settings to disable this behavior while keeping high contrast mode for Windows.

Thanks! I think it is very convenient for people who do not have time to cook. Five to ten minutes is enough for a dish and heardle game.

I think you might try examining the accessibility or display options in your browser to turn off this behavior while maintaining Windows high contrast mode.

If you’re unable to isolate the issue to the browser itself, check Windows’ settings under Advanced display settings or the High Contrast customization panel, as they might have changed.
