That's what inspired me to get Aster V7.

I see downsides to LTT version of multiseat gaming.

1. You need 2 Windows Licenses. Aster V7 only requires 1.
2. You need the host software (Unraid) and the virtual machines.
3. Can't use the same hardware (KB/Mouse)
4. Say you have 16GB RAM. When you load up the host OS there's RAM used there (even if minimally). Then, each Windows install will take up 2GB of RAM usage each. So now your usable RAM is roughly 11-12GB. With Aster V7 you only have 1 Windows install. 2GB. You now effectively have 14GB available.

Now there are some downsides to Aster V7.

1. If you need to reboot the PC, both users have to be bothered by it.
2. If not using 2 GPUs then the logging in/out process messes with the other user(s).
3. Some programs don't use Windows User folders to store certain parts of authentication. This can mess with login of online play. A separate install of the game in another location solves this.
4. ?? Can't think of anything else.

Aster is easy and performance is balanced in the all users.
With VM your User will get only what you set, in some cases is good (Lan-houses, Workspaces), but casual use is bad....

Anyway, the two are good options. :)

Aster is better, lighter, simplier, faster and easier to set up.. and cheaper..
Only a few games are that stupid that don't let 2 regularly purchased copies to run together..

steam works, use sandboxie and make sure you give them different IP's.
was able to play some csgo with 2 accounts login onto the same online server.

Not all games work, and some games have sandbox protected servers, probably against cheating..
anyway Aster remains the best software for this purpose.
