3 monitors 2 terminals problem
Hi There, this works, but, i cannot add more than 1 monitor to one terminal.
I have 3 monitor, i want to do:
Terminal 1: Monitor 1, Monitor 2 (Extended)
Terminal 2: Monitor 3
There is a way to do it? or it is a software limitation? thx

Re: 3 monitors 2 terminals problem
there is no way, when i enabled Aster workspaces and restart, Monitor 2 goes to No Sinal and i cannot enable this in nvidia control panel, but the Monitor 2 is appearing in windows device manager
Re: 3 monitors 2 terminals problem
I have the same problem in Windows 10.. It's weird, it worked flawesly in previous version of Aster under Windows 8, now I can use only one monitor for each workplace.. It´s a pity :-/
Re: 3 monitors 2 terminals problem
it worked fine for me. although i think we may have different config.
can you try to remove sli or xfire if you run it.
before starting aster, turn off the 3rd monitor for workstation 2, then can you try to open up control panel of nvidia, setup multiple displays, select the 2. apply and save what ever.
then turn on 3rd monitor. btw i have 2 vid cards, so 3rd monitor goes to vid card 2, 1st 2 monitor goes to vid card 1.

Re: 3 monitors 2 terminals problem
The problem is I have only 1 graphic card. Under Windows 8.1 it was possible to use 2 monitors for one workplace (mirroring) and one monitor for second workplace. With new Aster for Windows 10 it doesn't work..

Re: 3 monitors 2 terminals problem
Has a solution been found for this problem?
Re: 3 monitors 2 terminals problem
I found a "solution" only if you need mirroring the display (new version of Aster still does not support extended desktop on one graphic card.. :-/ )
So my "workaround" for 3 monitors (1st+2nd LCD on 1st terminal mirroring (or - in my case - 1st LCD and 2nd is projector ); 3rd LCD on 2nd terminal):
So my "workaround" for 3 monitors (1st+2nd LCD on 1st terminal mirroring (or - in my case - 1st LCD and 2nd is projector ); 3rd LCD on 2nd terminal):
- you have to buy some HDMI splitter (just few $)
- connect that splitter to your graphic card output
- connect your 1st LCD to that splitter
- connect your 3rd LCD to graphic card output
- start PC and manage your display settings in Windows (don´t connect 2nd LCD to HDMI splitter)
- after that, Enable Aster
- if you want to mirror to 2nd LCD, you have to run 2nd terminal at first
- after you run 2nd terminal, you can connect your 2nd LCD to your HDMI splitter
- voilà, it works
- after you shut off the PC, you have to disconnect 2nd LCD before you turn the PC on (otherwise 1st and 3rd LCD will not work and you will have 1st terminal on 3rd LCD)
- if you forget to disconnect 2nd LCD before turning the PC on, just disconnect 2nd LCD now and restart your PC
- sometimes 1st and 2nd LCD may stop working (you will hear Windows "disconnecting" sound) - just disconnect both LCD from the HDMI splitter, disconnect HDMI splitter from graphic card output and connect it again - no need to restart PC!
Re: 3 monitors 2 terminals problem
For workstation with multiple monitors is necessary to allocate a separate graphics card (it was in all versions of ASTER).
Although you can try to unite Monitor 1.1 / 1.2 in one, using technology amd eyefinity or surround nvidia
Then in the system, they will be listed as one monitor (in this case the second card does not require), however these "grouped" monitors are part of the same display and therefore can not be operated in different modes.
